Have you ever sat down and ask yourself what the whole point of all these trouble is?
You know at the end of the day everything we acquire from our "aluta" will be left behind here on earth, while we either go to heaven, hell or purgatory (for those that believe there's a place called purgatory). For a life that we'll end up with nothing on earth, don't you think we struggle too much and we do quite a lot. I'm not advocating that we should not work for what we desire or want, but we shouldn't do more than ourselves.
Over the years, people have been committing suicide more than it has been in the older generation and a lot of people are contemplating self-harming. Whenever I hear that someone is considering one of these or has done either of the two, I ask myself a lot of questions and the one that comes up first is "what is more worth than your life?" This week, I heard of about two people contemplating self-harm and that was what prompted this newsletter. Anytime we feel like this, the best advice I'll give is to first talk to anyone and secondly and most importantly talk to your Creator, chat with him as though he was in the room with you. The realization of God's presence brings ease and peace to the mind.
I've spoken to someone before and he said he feel that God is distant because he is a chronic sinner, the only thing I could tell him was "The real of a Christian is not the fall, it's the lack of ability to pick yourself up and go back to God that's the real fall". God's arm is always open and willing to welcome us back, even though he never left us.
Learn to talk to God like he is your best friend. Taste and see that the Lord is good. He loves you and he's waiting for you.
Thank you for reading my love.
